Any individual or entity that wishes to shoot in Dubai must appoint a production company licensed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to obtain a shooting permit. The UAE-licensed production company must complete the following forms when applying for a shooting permit:

Application Processing Fee

There is a non-refundable processing fee of AED 500 per application.  A single application can include permit requests for multiple days and locations.

Location Fees

Standard location fees for all public and most private locations in Dubai are defined as per Executive Decision No. 50, issued in 2014 by Dubai Government Executive Council, which established the Dubai Film and TV Commission (DFTC).

Public Locations

The location fees for public locations depend on the type of project, please see below fee matrix for further details.

Private Locations

The location fees for private locations are charged at a maximum of AED 25,000 per day. The final fee will be at the discretion of the location owner and may vary depending upon demand and production requirements. All private locations reserve the right to pass onto the production company any additional fees incurred by the location during filming, such as clean-up, security and additional services.

All semi government and private locations reserve the right to pass onto the production company any additional fees incurred by the location during filming, such as clean-up, security and additional services.
